Central Sweeps Welding, Wins Second in Electrical

More than 150 students from the Baton Rouge area competed in the Pelican Chapter Associated Builders and Contractors Craft Competition April 6.  Central High swept the welding competition. The welding team of Tyler Adams, Landon Foretich, and Blake Olinde placed first in the welding team competition. Landon Foretich placed first, Blake Olinde placed second, and Tyler Adams place third in the individual welding competition. Roger Ball is the welding instructor.
The electrical team of Austin Gouedy, Tate Kirby, and Kory Ricks placed second in the electrical team competition, and Austin Gouedy placed first in the individual electrical competition. Mrs. Allison Coleman is the electrical instructor.
Representing Central High School in the carpentry competition were Nicholas Henry, Dylan Thibodaux, and Cade Williamson. Jeff Jones is the Carpentry/Drafting instructor.
