Cristal Hebert Lost Her Home, Business, Now Her Husband

On Friday, Sept. 30, Charles and Cristal Hebert, owners of American Farmhouse restaurant
in Central, were involved in a tragic automobile accident on their way to visit friends in North Carolina. Charles was killed, and Cristal was badly injured.
The accident occurred on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and Cristal was taken to a hospital in Mobile, where she underwent four surgeries.  On Sunday, physicians in Mobile released her to return home, so that she could be closer to her family and base of support.
On Aug. 13, the Heberts’ home and business flooded. But they worked hard to salvage them. American Farmhouse was almost ready to reopen when the couple left for North Carolina.
Charles’ funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will follow at Green Oaks Cemetery. He had four children by a previous marriage.
