28th Christmas Parade Saturday on Joor Road

More than 4,000 people from throughout the Baton Rouge area are expected at the 28th Annual Central Christmas Parade this Saturday.

The event often has more than 50 floats, vehicles, and marching units.  Units will line up between 7 and 9 a.m. in the parking lot of Zoar Baptist Church. Opening ceremonies will be held at 9:30 a.m.

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. and head south on Joor Road, ending at the intersection of Joor at Lovett roads.

The event is sponsored by the City of Central Chamber of Commerce.
